Chopin Concert to honor Kosciuszko

On Saturday, September 23, 2017 a concert was held in the beautiful Shrine Church of St. Stanislaus, in honor of the 200th Anniversary of the passing of General Thaddeus Kosciuszko (1746-1817), a hero in both America's and Poland's fight for freedom.

Konrad Binienda and friends performed the works of Chopin and Mozart to an enthusiast audience that were awed by his piano skills and his accompanist on the violin.

Shrine Church of St Stanislaus in Cleveland

A short walk through the inside of the Shrine Church of St Stanislaus in Cleveland’s Slavic Village neighborhood.

Chief Ed Rybka at Cleveland Polish Parade

Cleveland Chief of Regional Development Ed Rybka spoke in front of the Shrine Church of St Stanislaus after the Polish Constitution Day Parade in Cleveland’s Slavic Village neighborhood.  He told how the Shrine Church is the center of the neighborhood and Polish community.  http://www.clevelandpeople.com/groups/polish/polish.htm

Mayor Jackson at Cleveland Polish Parade

Cleveland Mayor Frank Jackson spoke in front of the Shrine Church of St Stanislaus after the Polish Constitution Day Parade in Cleveland’s Slavic Village neighborhood.  He presented a proclamation and even greeted the crowd in Polish.  http://www.clevelandpeople.com/groups/polish/polish.htm
