Polish History in 27 placards in the Heritage Garden in Cleveland

Dan Hanson walked through the Polish Heritage Garden behind the John Paul II Polish American Cultural Center in the Slavic Village neighborhood of Cleveland.

He enumerated the 27 different placards that depict Polish history throughout the ages including the Constitution of May 3, John Paul II, World War II, Copernicus, Chopin and others.

Interested people and students should visit the beautiful garden to see the highlights of centuries of Polish history.

Chopin Concert to honor Kosciuszko

On Saturday, September 23, 2017 a concert was held in the beautiful Shrine Church of St. Stanislaus, in honor of the 200th Anniversary of the passing of General Thaddeus Kosciuszko (1746-1817), a hero in both America's and Poland's fight for freedom.

Konrad Binienda and friends performed the works of Chopin and Mozart to an enthusiast audience that were awed by his piano skills and his accompanist on the violin.

Grand Piano Concert in the Russian Cultural Garden

The Russian Cultural Garden hosted its first inaugural "Grand Piano in the Russian Garden" concert. The event took place on the site of a future Russian Cultural Garden on Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. in Rockefeller Park.


The concert's theme was "Music of the Cultural Gardens of Cleveland" and featured works from composers in other Cultural Gardens such as Chopin (Polish Garden) and Liszt (Hungarian Garden). Rachmaninoff and Tchaikovsky represented the future Russian Garden.
