Rotary Club of Cleveland honors Chris Ronayne of University Circle Inc.

 Each year the Community Service Committee of the Rotary Club of Cleveland selects an individual or organization that has demonstrated outstanding "Service Above Self" in the Greater Cleveland area. The meeting was held on the 20th floor "Sky Lounge" of One University Circle.

The 2021 honoree is Chris Ronyane for his "innovative leadership he has transformed University Circle and its surrounding neighborhoods into a vibrant, diverse, and mixed-use community."

University Circle’s Chris Ronayne – Cultural Gardens time capsule

Chris Ronayne leads both University Circle Inc. and the Holden Parks Trust.  He spoke at a ceremony after the Cleveland Cultural Gardens Federation ended their Centennial Year by burying a time capsule at the Kiosk of the Gardens on MLK Blvd.

The time capsule has information and artifacts about the Gardens and also Cleveland in 2016.  (Go Cavs, Go Tribe)  It will be opened in 25 years in 2041.

 After placing the time capsule they gathered at the Rockefeller Greenhouse to cut a cake celebrating the Centennial of the Gardens.  Chris spoke of the importance of the Gardens and the partnership.

Chris Ronayne of University Circle on George Voinovich

Chris Ronayne, President of University Circle Inc. in Cleveland, was on hand for the ribbon cutting of a new Cleveland Cultural Gardens Flag when Dan Hanson asked him about the passing of Senator George Voinovich.
Chris told how George Voinovich was a part of Cleveland.
