Before the Parade. honorees and dignitaries gathered on the steps of the Cosgrove Center including Grand Marshall Bill Homan, Mother of the Year Eileen Kilroy, Inside Co-Chair Patti Maher Hanrahan and Outside Co-Chair Sr. Corita Ambro.

Honorees and dignitaries gathered on the steps of the Cosgrove Center including Grand Marshall Bill Homan, Mother of the Year Eileen Kilroy, Inside Co-Chair Patti Maher Hanrahan and Outside Co-Chair Sr. Corita Ambro. Mayor Frank Jackson, County Executive Armond Budish and Councilman Blaine Griffin were also there.
Katie Cooper led the Irish anthem in Gaelic and then the US anthem. Bishop Nelson Perez gave an invocation and the parade was dedicated to the late Bill Carney whose family was on the steps.
Then Grand Marshall Bill Homan blew the whistle to begin the Parade.
The 175th St. Patrick’s Day Parade in Cleveland stepped off with Grand Marshal Roger S. Weist, Irish Mother of the Year Angela Murphy, Inside Co-Chair John Patrick Lackey and Outside Co-Chair Margaret Lynch.
They were followed by other dignitaries and public officials including Mayor Frank Jackson and County Executive Armond Budish, the Cleveland Police Department, Cleveland Fire Department and the Ancient Order of Hibernians.
The American Lebanese Community Council presented the 6th annual celebration of Lebanon Day in the City of Cleveland celebrating the 73rd independence of Lebanon. The ceremony was in the Rotunda of Cleveland City Hall.
