Gerry Quinn, President of the Cleveland Chapter of the Mayo Society, spoke at the annual Mayo Tea held at John Carroll University. He gave a brief history of the Mayo Society which started in New York in 1879 and was followed by the Cleveland Chapter in 1905, Philadelphia in 1906, Toronto in 1910 and later Chicago, Boston, San Francisco and others. http://www.clevelandpeople.com/groups/irish/irish.htm
